National Eye Exam Month

This August, mark National Eye Exam Month by learning about ways to keep your eyesight clear and healthy. A standard eye exam can detect early indicators of disease or damage to your eyes as we age. Routine eye exams are recommended by ophthalmologists every 2-4 years between the ages of 40 and 65, and every 1-2 years after the age of 65.

While most symptoms are often ignored, getting a basic checkup and following a doctor’s advice can significantly reduce the risks of more severe and future damage, allowing you to maintain healthy vision.
